Wave MiniBOSS Bilge Water Separator Systems

A new version of the Wave MiniBOSS IMO separator is now available. The Series II Wave MiniBOSS offers a faster flow rate, providing 0.5m³/hr across all models . All models of the separator are available for DC or AC power.Approved by the IMO, ABS and US Coast Guard, it is MEPC 107 (49) certified for use on all vessels from 400 Gross Tons. The MiniBOSS system ensures that no traces of oil or other pollutants such as microplastics, are discharged overboard thanks to its use of a pre-filter and two Wavestream oil removal filters.The Wave MiniBOSS is a neatly designed bulkhead mounted system.

Royal Netherlands Navy Selects Wavestream Bilge Filters

The Royal Netherlands Navy has adopted Wave International's Wavestream bilge filters for all relevant size craft to ensure compliance with bilge water discharge legal requirements, theUK-based company announced today. Technautic BV of Wormerveer, The Netherlands Wavestream distributor, is supplying the Navy with the Wavestream System 2. The Royal Navy spent several months of performing testing on the Wavestream systems before selecting it for adoption on its ships. Wavestream is a compact filter installed between the bilge pump and outlet.

Vietnam Shipyard Builds New Caledonia Tugboat

Cty TNHH Vuot Song, the subsidiary shipyard of Roy’s Maritime in Vietnam has just finished the construction of a 16-m long tugboat for New Caledonia, that will be delivered to the ship owner early 2014. The tugboat ‘Taabya.on’ is 16 meters long and 6.20 meters in breadth with a 16-tonee bollard pull, and will be used for the transportation of nickel in New Caledonia. Build of the new vessel was supervised by classification society Bureau Veritas, and New Caledonian Maritime in accordance with the divison 222.
