Serimax Awarded Welding Contract for Gas Sul North Capixaba (GSNC) project

Serimax, a 100% subsidiary of Vallourec, has been awarded the welding contract for the Gas Sul North Capixaba (GSNC) project by Subsea 7 in Brazil. Serimax will provide welding services on 151km of 18” sour service pipeline, which will run parallel to the Brazilian coast and links the Camarupim Field gas pipeline to the Parque des Baleias complex. The project management will be run from Serimax’s Brazilian facility, with welder performance qualification taking place in Houston and offshore installation onboard the vessel Polaris scheduled to start in November and completed toward the end of February 2012. Stolt Offshore Announces Results

Stolt Offshore S.A. announced unaudited results for the second quarter and six months ended on May 31, 2004. "Stolt Offshore's turnaround is now well advanced. The Group now has the financial resources to compete effectively in its chosen markets thanks to a much improved balance between equity and debt. Furthermore, 45 project wins, with a total value of $1.2 billion in the first half of 2004 underlines that Stolt Offshore not only has made strong progress in winning profitable contracts but is transforming its earnings base and moving on from the period dominated by legacy projects. Northrop Grumman Receives OSHA Awards

Northrop Grumman Corporation announced today that its Newport News sector received two awards from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The Newport News sector was recognized as the largest Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) STAR site. The VPP, administered by OSHA and the Department of Energy, is a cooperative effort among labor, management and government. OSHA awards the STAR only to those companies with comprehensive, successful safety and health programs that are in the forefront of employee protection and demonstrate continuous improvement. Newport News first became a STAR site in 1995, and was re-certified at the prestigious STAR level in 2000. Participants' Association (VPPPA) for his outstanding health and safety activities.

Cummins Marine Welcomes Cheramie Comeback

Back in 1992, when Manny Cheramie was first diagnosed in bad health, he decided to sell his 13-boat fleet of towboats. Still only in his forties, it was a real blow to Manny to leave the intercostal waters of Louisiana and Texas that had been his life since his dad introduced him to decking on a shrimp boat at five years of age. Now, after six years, Manny is getting a clean bill of health from his doctors. He and his wife Sonia, are preparing for a comeback with the launch of the first new boat of the second half of their lives. Lady Sonia is a 60 x 24-ft. 62 x 57-in. prop. "I have a lifetime contract for the new boat with Hollywood Marine," says Manny, who has been associated with the Houston based firm for 25 years.
