NSER Wins $600mln Contracts in S. Arabia

National Energy Services Reunited (NESR), a provider of integrated energy services in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Asia Pacific regions, has been awarded contracts worth US$660 million by Saudi Aramco for coiled tubing, stimulation and cementing services for a five year period.The contract is with the National Petroleum Technology Company, a subsidiary of NESR, for coiled tubing and N2, stimulation services and cementing services for a period of five years with possible extensions of up to two years.Mohammed Y. Halliburton Announces JV with SPT Energy

Halliburton has signed an agreement with the SPT Energy Group Inc. affiliate, Petrotech (Xinjiang) Engineering Co., Ltd., to establish a joint venture company focused on hydraulic fracturing and production enhancement services in Xinjiang, China. The new company, Xinjiang HDTD Oilfield Services Co. Ltd., will provide fracture stimulation services, including design and analysis, data acquisition, and pumping and chemical services in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. This is Halliburton’s first joint venture for hydraulic fracturing services in China. A ceremony was held on Wednesday at the China World Hotel in Beijing to celebrate the establishment of Xinjiang HDTD Oilfield Services Co., Ltd.

Offshore O&M Expenditure Forecast: $335B in 5 Years

Oil Drilling Stimulation Vessel for North Sea Charter

Baker Hughes announced that its subsidiary has chartered a new state-of-the-art pressure pumping vessel that will provide offshore stimulation services to Maersk Oil in the North Sea. Upon completion, scheduled for late 2013, the Blue Orca™ will become the eighth vessel in the Baker Hughes fleet. The Blue Orca will be rated to 15,000 psi and will offer among the largest fluid and proppant carrying capacities in the world. It will provide 15,000 hydraulic horsepower pumping capacity and the ability to pump at rates well in excess of 60 bpm. Engineering work on the marine and stimulation systems has already begun. Hornbeck-Leevac Delivers BJ Blue Ray, Acquires Tank Barge

Hornbeck-Leevac Marine Services, Inc., announced that it has taken delivery of its first 265-ft. class deepwater offshore supply vessel, the BJ Blue Ray, which immediate commenced service under a 5-year time charter with BJ services to support well stimulation services, primarily in the Gulf of Mexico. Three additional 265-ft. class offshore vessels are under construction for delivery in 2002. Hornbeck-Leevac also announces the purchase of the M/V W.K. McWilliams, Jr. from Freeport-McMoRan Sulphur LLC for an undisclosed amount. The vessel, to be renamed the “Energy Service 9001,” is a 402-ft. self-propelled unit built in 1992 and historically used by Freeport-McMoRan in the transportation of molten sulphur.

EBDG to Design DP2 Well Stimulation Vessel

The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India has contracted with Elliott Bay Design Group to provide consultancy for the design, construction and delivery of a 110m x 19m x 9.25m well stimulation vessel. The function of the vessel is to provide well stimulation services in open ocean environments, primarily in the Arabian Sea offshore India. The overriding requirement is for a ship which can perform advanced offshore well stimulation operations while under redundant Dynamic Positioning (DP Class 2) functions within international regulations, International Association of Classification Society, Indian Registry of Shipping and Directorate of General Shipping certification.
