Willbros Unit Names Hamilton a Vice President

Willbros Group Inc. development. Hamilton has over 23 years of business and project development experience in the oil and gas industry, including 18 years with Willbros. Before joining Willbros in 1983, Hamilton held positions in both the manufacturing and operating sectors of the pipeline industry. Hamilton will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for the entire range of project management, engineering and construction services, including engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services. He earned his B.B.A. degree from Baylor University. Willbros Senior Exec Retires

Willbros Group Inc. announced on Friday, December 28, that Senior Executive Vice President Melvin F. Spreitzer (63) will retire from the company and the board of directors effective Dec. 31, 2001. Spreitzer was executive vice president of the company and served as chief financial officer from 1987 until May of 2001. He had been with Willbros and its predecessor or affiliated companies for 28 years. Larry J. Bump, chairman and CEO, said, "Mel Spreitzer has been a valuable member of our senior management team for the past 14 years and we will miss his experience and knowledge. Mel made major contributions to our corporate achievements during the years he was CFO, including our successfully completed IPO in 1996.

Willbros Announces Retirement and Promotions

Willbros Group Inc. announced that P. G. Rogers, 66, chairman of one of its operating units, Rogers & Phillips Inc., will retire from the company effective March 1, 2002. Rogers has served as chairman of Rogers & Phillips since 1997. From 1992 to 1997, he was president of the company. Prior to forming Rogers & Phillips, Rogers served as vice president of Rogers and McNorton in Houston from 1977 to 1992. William R. & Phillips Inc. Phillips has served as president of the company since 1997. He had previously held the position of vice president of the company from 1992 to 1997. Alan G. Owens, 46, has been promoted to president of Rogers & Phillips Inc. He had previously served as vice president and chief operating officer. From 1993 to 1996 he was in project management.

Willbros Announces New Contracts, Sale of Opal Facility

Willbros Group, Inc. announced that business units in Canada, the United States, the Middle East and West Africa have been awarded multiple projects valued in excess of $175 million. Willbros MSI Canada Inc. (Willbros Canada) has been awarded a contract for the fabrication of process modules by Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL). The modules will be fabricated in Edmonton, Alberta at Willbros Canada's new 90,000 square foot fabrication facility which was readied for service over the past year. The contract will run through the third quarter of 2006 and anticipates the follow-on services to erect, install and commission the modules at CNRL's Horizon Oil Sands Project. Willbros Purchases Barge for West African Marine Work

Willbros Group Inc. subsidiary, Willbros West Africa Inc., has added to its available offshore fleet with the completion of the purchase and refitting of the WB 82. The WB 82 is a 100 ton derrick/work barge, 78.8 meters (256 feet) in length overall (LOA), with an 8 point anchor system and accommodations for up to 135 persons. The WB 82 will join the WB 318 combination derrick/lay barge and the M/V Eros support vessel in providing comprehensive construction services to the Nigerian offshore market, with the current backlog assignment expected to last through the second quarter of 2002.
