Xantic BV Sells Xantic MPC

Effective January 1, 2002, Xantic MPC (former SpecTec MPC) was sold to the management backed by a group of investors. The new owners are: Øystein Moan, CEO Visma ASA, former owner of the SpecTec Group, former CEO of the Cinet Group and chairman of the SpecTec Group; Tore Bjerkan, CFO Visma ASA; Thomas Falck; Partner Four Seasons Venture AS, former CEO of the SpecTec Group and former chairman of Xantic MPC; Allen Amos, Sales Director CCT; Tore Kirkedam, Managing Director CCT . Xantic BV decided to sell the hardware division as part of a strategy to focus more on its core business, airtime and software. The new owners will continue operations, focusing on development, production and sale of specialized, class approved computer equipment.

Stratos Announces Availability of BGAN

Stratos Global Corp. has begun offering Inmarsat BGAN (Broadband Global Area Network) service in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Coverage is scheduled to be extended to North and South America in the second quarter of 2006. In addition, in early 2006, Stratos expects to further expand its geographic presence and customer base with the acquisition of Netherlands- based Xantic B.V. The combination of Stratos' market-leading presence in the government, military, energy and leasing sectors, combined with Xantic's position as the number one provider to the maritime and carrier sectors, will give the combined business an unmatched presence in the key markets for mobile satellite services, including BGAN.

Stratos to Acquire Xantic

Stratos Global Corporation signed a letter of intent to purchase the shares of Xantic B.V. This transaction, involving two of the largest providers of mobile satellite services, will create a leading provider of advanced remote communications solutions, with a significantly expanded geographic presence and customer base in the Americas, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Under the terms of the agreement, Stratos will acquire 100 percent of Xantic, jointly owned by KPN N.V. (65 percent) and Telstra Corporation Ltd. Loadmaster International Inc. (LMI) announced a new ownership structure. LMI, with offices in both California and Malmö Sweden, was formerly owned jointly by Herbert Engineering Corp.(HEC) of Alameda, California and Xantic BV of The Hague Netherlands. to sole ownership as a subsidiary of Herbert Engineering Corp. Kockum Sonics Marine productlines consist of acoustic signal systems Tyfon“,levelgauging systems Levelmaster“, and LoadRite“ loading computer, all with strong positions on the market. Through the acquisition Kockum Sonics will be able to provide another very strong brand, LOADMASTER“ to the market and will fortify its position as a leading supplier of marine components and systems worldwide.
