Japanese engine manufacturer Yanmar said it will soon open a new parts warehouse at its Middle East Branch, located in the United Arab Emirates, near Dubai Airport.The Middle East Branch began operation in January of 2019 in the Dubai Airport Free Zone providing sales, service support and training to dealers in Yanmar’s middle east territory. YANMAR only recently arrived in the Pacific Northwest with its mechanical 6AYAM-ET diesel engine. It looks like they are here to stay. In November of last year, YANMAR America and its guests officially opened the YANMAR EVO//CENTER in Acworth, Ga. Situated on 50-plus acres of land in Cherokee County, the new 50,000 square foot facility features six state-of-the-art product training labs with classroom and hands-on space, three classrooms, multiple meeting rooms, office space, a 250-seat auditorium, and myriad other amenities and features. The event was probably the most recent, visible manifestation of YANMAR’s steady march into the North American markets.

Yanmar has already introduced several new products for the marine market in 2018, including a new common rail inboard marine diesel engine touted as the world's smallest, higher horsepower offerings in its mid range series, and expanded joystick controls. Yanmar Marine International has launched the latest addition to its family of new generation common rail (CR) diesel engines, the compact Yanmar 3JH40 inboard engine, at boot Düsseldorf. The three-cylinder 3JH40 has been developed as the marine industry’s smallest CR inboard diesel engine, Yanmar said.

Following its agreement with German manufacturer Neander Shark for exclusive global distribution of the Dtorque 111 twin-cylinder 50 hp diesel outboard engine, YANMAR MARINE INTERNATIONAL (YMI) has announced the official launch of this new propulsion product. The compact Dtorque 111 is designed to revolutionize the small workboat market where its expected lifespan of well over 10,000 hours at least doubles that of any comparable outboard gasoline engine. The Dtorque 111 offers a smooth and quiet diesel engine, delivering 50 hp at the propeller with a torque output of 111 Nm at 2,500 rpm.

Yanmar Marine International (YMI) will show its new range of common-rail fuel injected marine diesel engines rated for leisure marine and workboat applications at METS 2015, RAI Amsterdam, November 17 - 19. Topping the bill of new inboards is its in-line six-cylinder is rated at 440 mhp at 3,300 rpm. This is the world marine-trade debut for the new unit, which will also be offered in a 400 mhp version and will go into full production early in 2016, YMI said. Although new, the 6LY440 and 6LY400 have a pedigree derived from the mechanically controlled 6LY2A engine series, which during its nearly 20-year long production run was purchased by thousands of performance-cruiser owners around the world.

Marking its return to the diesel outboard market, engineering company Yanmar Marine International (YMI) has reached an agreement for exclusive distribution rights with German outboard manufacturer Neander Shark. YMI, whose headquarters are in the Netherlands, will distribute Neander Shark outboards worldwide through its network with access to more than 130 countries. From 1985 until 2009 Yanmar manufactured three-cylinder diesel outboards rated at 27 and 36 hp, but ceased when EPA and EU RCD emissions regulations restricted their sales in key markets.

The new JH-CR series engines from Yanmar bring the benefits of common-rail fuel injection technology to units of below 110mhp. Boat owners can now choose digitally-controlled common-rail engines from the Yanmar range with power outputs starting as low as 45mhp.The company will launch the new engines at Boot Düsseldorf 2015, with immediate availability through its worldwide distributor network. Having reached the age of retirement, Geert Jan Mantel will resign from his position as President of Yanmar Europe B.V. as per June 30, 2014, a position he has occupied since April 1, 2002. He will simultaneously step down as Managing Director of the Yanmar Co. LTD Board of Directors in Osaka, Japan. He has served as a member of the Board since June 2009.
