TechnipFMC wins EPC Contract

TechnipFMC  has been awarded by Zakum Development Company (ZADCO) an Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract (EPC3 project) for a sulfate reduction plant on West Island located offshore Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The objective of the EPC3 project is the installation of a sulfate reduction plant module (SRP) along with new installations and tie-in to existing facilities in West Island. The SRP module incorporates cutting edge water treatment technologies with advanced filtration and nano-filtration systems. These systems are used for water injection into Upper Zakum western areas reservoir tight structure, which requires high quality water with less sulfate content and particle size.

Suitability Survey Completed for Second Largest Semi-Submersible

Global Maritime Consultancy & Engineering, a provider of offshore marine warranty, dynamic positioning and engineering services, has completed a suitability survey for the world’s second largest semi-submersible - the ‘Xin Guang Hua’ - in advance of her maiden voyage. For the survey, Global Maritime carried out an independent assessment of all aspects of the vessel’s condition. The Xin Guang Hua - at 255 meters long, 68 meters wide and with a lift/transportation capacity of 98,000 tons - has been built by Guangzhou Shipyard International Company and is owned by Cosco Shipping.

Abu Dhabi Contract for Technip-NPCC Consortium

Technip-NPCC Consortium awarded Important contract for the Upper Zakum Field in Abu Dhabi. Technip in a consortium with National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), has been awarded by Zakum Development Company (ZADCO) a lump sum engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning and start-up contract for the Upper Zakum 750K Project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The field is located in the Gulf, 84 kilometers offshore Abu Dhabi. It is divided into four production artificial islands (Central, North, South, and West), with processing facilities at the Central Complex. •    Almost 30,000 tons of offshore structures (jackets, riser platforms, flare towers and bridges), including approximately 3,000 tons of islands modules and bridges.
