ZF Marine LLC Announces Personnel Changes
Roland “Bubba” Benoit – Account Manager, Commercial Craft. Roland’s years of experience as a technician with ZF Marine at our St. Rose, La. facility will serve him well as he works with fleet operators to expand ZF’s presence into the Texas Gulf and Inland River territories. Roland’s appointment reinforces ZF’s commitment to the workboat propulsion market in this region. Jay Denckla – Account Manager, West Coast. Jay, a long time Mathers and ZF Marine Electronics employee moves over to ZF Marine LLC. Jay’s intimate knowledge of electronic controls and thruster systems is going to be a great asset in working with Pleasure Craft customers on complete propulsion system solutions from ZF Marine. ZF Marine Prop System to Mastercraft 300
The recently unveiled MasterCraft 300 features some of the most cutting-edge technology available in the day-yacht category. Supplied by ZF Marine, the ZF 63IV transmissions with electronic shift control, electric troll, and SmartCommand controls from ZF Marine Electronics, make the 30 ft boat comfortable and easy to control. SmartCommand, when paired with the optional new Joystick Maneuvering System (JMS), works in conjunction with the two main engines and bow thruster to offer owners a pod-like joystick control of a traditional shaftline vessel. When interfaced with the SmartCommand control system in a twin-engine traditional shaftline application, JMS will provide the same ease of control expected from azimuthing pod drive systems.
Ingram Repowers With Cummins
Ingram’s big white line-haul towboats with their distinctive red circle stack logo are a familiar sight on the lower Mississippi. On the Ohio River and in other feeder routes, Ingram also operates a number of smaller vessels to put the big tows together. In the recent total rebuild following the sinking of one such boat, the 56 x 24-ft. M/V Charles B Holman, Ingram chose Cummins engines. Mark Duley, General Manager-Motor Vessel Engineering, reports that the job was completed in June of 2007 with all the shipyard work being done at James Marine Services in Paducah, Kentucky. Lakeshore Marine Services rebuilt the vessel’s crew quarters.
Meucci Promoted to Sales Manager ZF Marine Electronics
ZF Marine Electronics has promoted Jim Meucci to Sales Manager. Meucci started with Mathers Controls over 25 years ago, and most recently held the position of Regional Sales Manager at ZF Marine Electronics headquarters in Mukilteo, Wash. In his new position, Meucci has overall sales responsibility for ZF Marine Electronics' controls systems business in the North America region. ZF Marine Electronics LLC, (formerly ZF Mathers LLC) supplies both electronic and pneumatic vessel control systems. Product brands for the controls group include ClearCommand, MiniCommand, MicroCommander, SkiCommand and SmartCommand.
