Perduto VP N American Sales ,ShipDecision

Veteran mariner and maritime transportation executive James Perduto has been appointed to lead the North American sales initiatives for ShipDecision technology. Based in N.Y., James assumes responsibility for spearheading sales of the company’s web-based business information management solution, both in the United States and Canada. Perduto has extensive business development experience in the maritime transportation industry, most recently as Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service for Höegh Autoliners Inc. in N.Y. In addition to his commercial background James has held leadership positions as a U.S. Navy Commander while mobilized with The Joint Chiefs of Staff and a Military Sealift Command Expeditionary Port Unit.

Butcher and Kuo Receive Connie Awards

The Containerization & Intermodal Institute (CII) will present the 2009 Connie Awards this year to James E. Butcher, Chairman of Höegh Autoliners Inc., and to Evergreen's Vice Group Chairman Captain Shiuan Y. Kuo. Each recipient will be honored for his significant influence in containerization in worldwide trade and transportation, according to Allen Clifford, CII President. A graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, in 1970 Jim Butcher served as Third Mate with the U.S. Military Sealift Command for one year before joining the Luckenbach Steamship Company in New York. He moved to Höegh Autoliners as Operations Manager when the Oslo, Norway, carrier opened its U.S. subsidiary in 1973 and was a founding member.

Mische Appointed as VP, Alliance Navigation

Robert W. Mische, formerly General Manager Logistics, Höegh Autoliners Inc., has been appointed Vice President, Alliance Navigation LLC responsible for the carriage of U.S. government impelled cargo. Mische joined Autoliners Inc. in July 1976. Since then he has served in various positions of increasing management responsibility, with a particular career focus on forecasting, quality, pricing, customer service, project management, and trade development during the course of his 30 years with the organization. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook in 1995. Mische spearheaded Höegh Autoliners Inc.’s Quality initiative with Ford as Q1 Champion…

Höegh Autoliners names Perduto as VP

Höegh Autoliners Inc. has announced the appointment of James A. Perduto as Vice President, Marketing. Perduto joins Höegh Autoliners from the United States Mission to the United Nations where he served as a Military Advisor assigned to The Joint Chiefs of Staff. His duties as a U.S. Navy Reserve Commander comprised of providing immediate strategic assessment and counsel to the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and reporting to the State Department and the Joint Chiefs on the impact of United Nations’ mandates as they relate to the United States. For his service he was awarded the Joint Staff Commendation Medal.
