SENER Releases FORAN V80R3.0

SENER released a new FORAN version: V80R3.0. According to the company, FORAN new release brings a major improvement in the overall system, unifying the CAD model exchange system. Complete support has been added for the import and export of STEP, IGES, IFC, BREP and STL CAD files. Hunter Marine Chooses MarineCFO Solutions

Hunter Marine's Operations Division has selected MarineCFO’s Vessel 365 fleet optimization technology, along with Endurance Personnel for managing time cards, scheduling and personnel reporting functions, and Endurance Maintenance, a complete maintenance solution from scheduling, outside services and capacity planning to quality control. Darrick Lee, Hunter Marine Purchasing Manager said the company will use MarineCFO's suite of products to achieve Subchapter M compliance and to help streamline existing business processes.

ChartCo Acquires Docmap

ChartCo, provider of maritime digital data and compliance services, said it has expanded its range of integrated marine solutions with the acquisition of the at-sea digital document management company Docmap. Oslo-based Docmap AS was founded in 2005 and provides solutions within the health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) operations on vessels and ashore. Its recently launched Docmap 8 software operates both shore side and on board through standard web browsers and incorporates modules for audit control and risk assessment, and works alongside customers’ continuous improvement programs. Sub M 90 Program Underway

MarineCFO Offers Vessel365 & Homeport365. Industry technology services provider, MarineCFO, has announced the “Sub M 90” Program commencing February 25, 2016 and terminating June 22, 2016. According to Tug & Barge Solutions, a Sub M consultant and MarineCFO partner, the Office of Management & Budget (OMB) received the Final Rule version of Sub Chapter M from United States Coast Guard on February 12, 2016. The OMB has until June 22nd to review the Sub Chapter M Final Rule prior to publication in the Federal Register. MarineCFO Unveils Endurance Software

Capitalizing on its 2013 acquisition by software firm VerticaLive, MarineCFO has announced a Fall 2015 introduction of Endurance, a cloud version of the MarineCFO Enterprise Solution. “MarineCFO has proactively sought to bring efficiency, ease of use and affordability to the broader marine transportation market,” said Dean Shoultz, MarineCFO Chief Technology Officer. “We have simplified the shipboard user interface and improved upon existing MarineCFO Enterprise functionality. “SaaS creates an environment whereby a marine operator doesn’t worry about IT infrastructure, payroll for IT staff or updates to software. Navy Opts for Xerox Aboard Long-term

The U.S. Navy has awarded Xerox a ten-year contract worth US$94-million for the onboard document needs of its vessels worldwide. The Navy will look to Xerox for the installation, training and supplies procurement of the multifunction printers (MFPs) and production devices across its fleet. 18 Xerox technicians will be deployed with the ships to provide onboard document management services and support. A major contributor to Xerox’s contract win is the advanced security provided by the company’s office devices. The MFPs are equipped with Xerox Secure Print , which requires a personal identification number for users to release documents. A front-panel PIN code authentication also protects access to the devices’ features.
