Captain Bronaugh has a BA in Economics and a MS in Management. During his tenure in the Navy
, he attended the U.S. Naval War College
. He has significant at-sea experience having been Commanding Officer of three ships. He also has experience as a Prospective Commanding Officer (PCO) Instructor at the Surface Warfare Officers’ School (SWOS), Newport, RI and served on the Staff of the Chief of Naval Technical Training. Prior to his retirement from the Navy, Captain Bronaugh was Chief of Staff US Naval Forces, Korea and then Assistant Chief of Staff for Plans, Maritime Defense Zone Atlantic.
Captain Bronaugh has been affiliated with MarineSafety International as a Shiphandling Instructor and Bridge Resource Management (BRM) facilitator for naval officers and a wide range of commercial clients since 1998. In addition to instructing, he managed the development and implementation of training programs for Electronic Chart and Data Information Systems (ECDIS) and Integrated Bridge Systems.
