MTN Signs Deal with Oceania

October 16, 2003

Maritime Telecommunications Network (MTN), of Miramar, Florida, a provider of satellite-based communications, networking and other services to the cruise and offshore oil and gas industries, has signed a three-year lease agreement with Oceania Cruises to install MTN’s advanced satellite technology aboard the luxury vessels Regatta and Insignia. With MTN’s state-of-the-art satellite communication system and services, Oceania Cruises will add fully integrated global connectivity capabilities to its list of guest amenities. MTN’s VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) equipment and superior service will enable passengers and crew aboard the Regatta and Insignia to enjoy reliable telecommunications from even the most remote locations, including telephone and fax service and fast, secure Internet access to send and receive data. High-performance, high-bandwidth satellite equipment from MTN makes fast and clear communications possible anywhere under the sky. "MTN is pleased to be working with Oceania Cruises. As world cruisers, the vessels of Oceania Cruises need the type of global state-of-the-art communications that only MTN provides," said David Kagan, Chief Executive Officer of MTN. “Oceania Cruises is dedicated to providing its passengers with the highest-quality onboard communication technology, and MTN will enable us to do exactly that,” said Frank Del Rio, President and CEO of Oceania Cruises.
