The maritime security intelligence company Risk Intelligence is joined by six maritime industry leaders who will serve as the company’s board of advisors. The board is led by the former fleet commander of the Royal Navy, Admiral Sir James Burnell-Nugent. The board held its first meeting in London on 11 June 2013. “The six members bring a staggering amount of experience into the board, from navies, shipping companies, offshore, oil and gas, and classification societies,” said Hans Tino Hansen, CEO of Risk Intelligence. Risk Intelligence said it set up the advisory board to strengthen the strategic outlook and develop the company.

Kevin Cosgriff, commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command/U.S. 5th Fleet and Royal Australian Navy Commodore Allan du Toit, commander, Combined Task Force (CTF) 158, visited Iraq's Khawr Al Amaya Oil Terminal (KAAOT) Nov. 16, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the implementation of facility upgrades. The most significant improvement on KAAOT was the installation of the Tactical Operations Center (TOC), which will serve as a permanent centralized command and control location to enhance Coalition coordination.

Japan Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) Chief of Maritime Staff Adm. Eiji Yoshikawa and Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain Takeshi Kondo met with Vice Adm. The visit began with a luncheon held at NAVCENT to welcome Yoshikawa and was followed up with a tour of other commands on the installation, such as the Coalition Coordination Center, Combined Forces Maritime Component Command (CFMCC), where the Japanese senior national representative, Cmdr. Kenji Sugahara, works.
