Navios Holdings Acquires Sea Victory

The seaborne shipping and logistics company Navios Maritime Holdings agreed to acquire a former chartered-in vessel, the Sea Victory (TBN Navios Victory), a 2014-built Panamax vessel of 77,095 dwt, for a purchase price of $14.5 million.The acquisition is expected to be completed in Q3 2019, said the shipping firm focused on the transport and transshipment of drybulk commodities including iron ore, coal and grain.Navios sold to an unrelated third party the Navios Equator Prosper, a 2000-built Capesize vessel of 171,191 dwt, for a total net sale price of $11.5 million, paid in cash early this month.In April and May 2019, Navios agreed to sell to unrelated third parties the Navios Mercator…

Navios Sells Handymax

Navios Maritime Holdings, a global, vertically integrated seaborne shipping and logistics company, said that it has sold its 2002-built Ultra Handymax vessel Navios Meridian.The 50,316 dwt Navios Meridian was sold to an unnamed buyer recently for a total net sale price of USD 6.8 million.Navios Holdings controls a fleet of 65 vessels totaling 6.6 million dwt, of which 35 are owned and 30 are chartered-in under long-term charters (collectively, the "Core Fleet"). The fleet consists of 19 Capesize, 30 Panamax, 14 Ultra-Handymax and two Handysize vessels, with an average age of 7.9 years, basis fully delivered fleet.As of February 15, 2019, Navios Holdings has chartered-out 70.9% of available days of 2019, out of which 26.7% are chartered-out on fixed rate and 44.2% on index.

Navios Maritime Containers files for a $100 million IPO

Monaco-based container ship company Navios Maritime Containers has filed with the SEC to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering. The information of IPO was originally provided by the IPO investment manager Renaissance Capital. The Navios Holdings company run by Angeliki Frangou was founded in 2017 and booked $69 million in sales for the 12 months ended March 31, 2018. According to the company website: "We are a growth-oriented international owner and operator of containerships. We were formed in April 2017 by Navios Holdings, which owns, operates or manages one of the largest shipping fleets by capacity, to take advantage of acquisition and chartering opportunities in the container shipping sector. It plans to list on the Nasdaq but has not disclosed a symbol. J.P.

Navios Maritime Containers Raises USD 30mln

Navios Maritime Containers, a growth vehicle dedicated to the container sector, announced  that it has already completed a private placement of common shares, totaling $30.0 million, which is expected to close on March 13, 2018. Navios Containers will issue approximately 5,450,000 common shares at a subscription price of $5.50 per common share for an aggregate of $30.0 million of gross proceeds. The net proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including vessel acquisitions. Navios Maritime Holdings and Navios Maritime Partners have subscribed for $15.0 million in the private placement and thus will own approximately 39% of the outstanding share capital upon closing.

Navios Maritime Closes $35M Offering

Owner and operator of container and dry bulk vessels Navios Maritime Partners L.P. has closed the previously announced offering of approximately 18.4 million common units at $1.90 per common unit, raising approximately $35.0 million of gross proceeds. Navios Partners will use the net proceeds of the offering for general working capital purposes, including vessel acquisitions. Following the closing, Navios Partners will have 167,589,764 common units and 3,420,203 general partner units outstanding. This includes $5.0 million of common units purchased by Navios Maritime Holdings Inc., and the purchase of general partner units by Navios GP L.L.C., our general partner, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Navios Holdings, to maintain its 2.0% general partner interest in Navios Partners.

Navios Updates Fleet Status

Navios Maritime Holdings controls a fleet of 72 vessels totaling 7.3 million dwt, of which 39 are owned and 33 are chartered-in under long-term charters. The fleet consists of 21 Capesize, 31 Panamax, 18 Ultra Handymax and two Handysize vessels, with an average age of 7.7 years, basis fully delivered fleet. Angeliki Frangou, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated: "We are expanding our fleet capacity and creating market exposure at an opportune time. He added: "We did this using modest capex, as we chartered in the kamsarmaxes, three with favorable purchase options. Navios Holdings Now Controls a Fleet of 64

Navios Holdings controls a fleet of 64 operating vessels totaling 6.6 million dwt, of which 38 are owned and 26 are chartered-in under long-term charters. The fleet consists of 21 Capesize, 23 Panamax, 18 Ultra Handymax and two Handysize vessels with an average age of 8.3 years. As of November 1, 2017, Navios Holdings has chartered-out 66.6% and 11.2% of available days for the remaining three months of 2017 and 2018, respectively (excluding index and profit sharing days). The average contracted daily charter-in rate for the long-term charter-in vessels for the remaining three months of 2017 is $12,521. The above figures do not include the fleet of Navios Logistics and vessels servicing contracts of affreightment.

Navios Readies for Rickmers Vessel Acquisition

Navios Maritime Containers announced that it has agreed with investors to sell approximately 15 million of its shares for an aggregate of approximately $75 million of gross proceeds at a subscription price of $5.00 per share. Navios Containers intends to use the proceeds to acquire the 14-vessel container fleet that Navios Maritime Partners previously agreed to purchase from Rickmers Maritime as well as for further vessel acquisitions, working capital and general corporate purposes. The offering is expected to close in full on or about June 1, 2017. Navios Partners will invest $30 million and receive 40% of the equity, and Navios Maritime Holdings will invest $5 million and receive 6.67% of the equity of Navios Containers.

$70 Million Loan Facility for Navios

Navios Maritime Acquisition Corporation, announced today that it has agreed to provide a $70 million secured loan facility maturing in November 2018 to Navios Maritime Holdings Inc. The Loan Facility bears interest of 8.75%, compounded semi-annually and is secured by (1) all of Navios Holdings’ interest in Navios Acquisition, composed of 65,301,220 shares of common stock and 1,000 preferred shares (convertible into 7,676,000 shares of common stock) and (2) 78.5% of Navios Holdings’ interest in Navios South American Logistics, Inc. (Navios Logistics) composed of 10,021 shares representing a majority of the shares outstanding of Navios Logistics. Interest will accrue and be payable upon the maturity of the loan. A 1% fee was payable on the closing.

Navios in Red, but Beats Estimates

Navios Maritime Holdings, vertically integrated seaborne shipping and Logistics Company, slumped to a loss in the Q1 although the result beat by $0.10 per share the average estimate of analysts who had forecast red ink for the dry bulk company. According to Zacks Investment Research, based on 2 analysts' forecasts, the consensus EPS forecast for the quarter is $-0.34. The reported EPS for the same quarter last year was $0.01. During the same quarter in the prior year, the company posted $0.01 earnings per share. The company’s quarterly revenue was down 3.2% on a year-over-year basis. On average, analysts predict that Navios Maritime Holdings will post $-0.68 earnings per share for the current fiscal year.

Navios Maritime Holdings Declares Dividend on Series G

Navios Maritime Holdings Inc. ("Navios Holdings" or the "Company") (NYSE: NM) announced today that the Company has declared a cash dividend of $54.6875 per share on its 8.75% Series G Cumulative Redeemable Perpetual Preferred Stock (the "Series G Preferred Stock"), equivalent to a cash dividend of $0.546875 per American Depositary Share, for the period from April 15, 2014 to July 14, 2014. The dividend will be paid on July 15, 2014 to holders of record as of July 8, 2014. The American Depositary Shares are currently listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "NMPrG."

Navios Maritime Reports $2 mln income for Q1 2014

Navios Maritime Holdings Inc. ("Navios Holdings" or "the Company") (NYSE: NM), a global, vertically integrated seaborne shipping and logistics company, today reported financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2014. Navios Group Forms Navios Europe

The Navios Group, composed of Navios Maritime Holdings Inc. (NM), Navios Maritime Acquisition Corp.(NNA) and Navios Maritime Partners L.P. (NMM), announced the formation of Navios Europe Inc. as the next step in concluding the letter of intent signed with HSH Nordbank AG in April of 2013. Navios Europe, which will initially acquire five product tankers and five container vessels from debtors of HSH, will be owned 47.5% by Navios Holdings, 47.5% by Navios Acquisition and 5% by Navios Partners. It is anticipated that funding requirements will be satisfied in the same percentages. In August 2013, Navios Europe arranged technical and commercial management for five out of the 10 vessels.

Greek J/V to Acquire HSH Debtors' Fleet

Navios Maritime Holdings & Navios Maritime Acquisition Corp. in J/V sign LOI to buy 10 ships from debtors of HSH Nordbank. The new Joint Venture company, named Navios JV,  has executed a binding letter of intent to acquire ten vessels, composed of five product tankers and five container vessels with an average age of 5.5 years from debtors of HSH Nordbank AG. Angeliki Frangou, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Navios Holdings and Navios Acquisition stated, "Working closely with HSH over the past year, we devised a program whereby vessels can be removed from insolvency and placed into a stable situation. In so doing, we are leveraging Navios' economies of scale and superior technical and commercial management to everyone's betterment.

PMC Opens Membership to International Shipowners

For the first time in its history, PANAMA MARITIME CHAMBER (PMC) has opened its membership to international shipowners with vessels registered in Panama – making it the equivalent of a Panamanian Shipowners’ Association. Jose Digeronimo, chairman of the Panama Maritime Chamber said: “There are over 9,000 vessels registered under the Panama flag, and our aim is to involve and help shipowners with representation, information, education, networking, trade missions and most important, lobbying on their behalf”. Navios Maritime Partners L.P. (NYSE: NMM), an owner and operator of dry cargo vessels, reported its financial results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2010. Ms. Angeliki Frangou, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Navios Partners, stated: "We are pleased to increase our cash distribution per unit for the fourth quarter. Angeliki Frangou, Chairman & CEO of the Navios group of companies has been named as the Connecticut Maritime Association (CMA) Commodore for the year 2011. Frangou follows a long succession of influential maritime industry leaders as Commodore. The Award will be presented to Frangou on March 23, 2011 at the Gala Dinner marking the conclusion of the annual Connecticut Maritime Association conference and trade exposition. The Award is given each year to a person in the international maritime industry who has contributed to the growth and development of the industry.

Navios Maritime Takes Delivery of Capesize Newbuild

Navios Maritime Holdings Inc.
