Pemex Signs Agreement with the British Council

Pemex signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the British Council to promote the training of their workers. The agreement was signed by the director general of Pemex, Emilio Lozoya Austin; Britain's ambassador in Mexico, Duncan Taylor, and the director of the British Council, Lena Milosevic. Thus, they jointly promote seminars, workshops and conferences, as well as the development of academic graduate programs in scientific and technological fields, public, legal and political aspects of economic and political sector activities energy. Also, the relationship with Pemex energy companies, institutions and British universities will be encouraged. The agreement also includes training programs to improve the skills of their staff at the English proficient energy specialist terminology.

Lloyd's Register Joins Swan's Antarctic Expedition

A four-man team from Lloyd's Register will set sail today from Ushuaia, Argentina, as part of an international expedition to the Antarctic, lead by the renowned polar explorer and environmentalist Robert Swan, OBE. The team of technical experts and eco-entrepreneurs will form part of the International Antarctic Expedition 2012, led by Swan, who has dedicated his life to the preservation of the Antarctic by promoting recycling, renewable energy and sustainability to combat the effects of climate change. New Director Appointed at NMMC

National Maritime Museum Cornwall (NMMC) has appointed Jonathan Griffin as the new Director. He has held a number of commercial senior management roles during his career including: Marketing Services Director for the British Tourist Authority (BTA) and the English Tourist Board, Marketing Director of English Heritage and Commercial Manager of London Zoo and Whipsnade Park. For the past four years, he has been based in London working on the country’s public presentation overseas.
