Gresham Named VP and Chief Counsel of Ingalls Shipbuilding

HII announced Julie Jarrell Gresham has been named vice president and chief counsel of the company’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division. She will succeed George Simmerman Jr. who will retire March 31, 2023, after 32 years with the company.Gresham, who previously served as deputy chief counsel and director of compliance and privacy, will report directly to Chad Boudreaux, HII’s executive vice president and chief legal officer, and indirectly to Ingalls Shipbuilding President Kari Wilkinson.

HII Promotes Boudreaux

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) announced Tuesday that Chad N. Boudreaux has been appointed executive vice president and chief legal officer, effective April 1, 2020. Current Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Kellye Walker recently announced her decision to pursue another opportunity, and she will depart HII on March 31.Boudreaux is currently the corporate vice president for litigation and chief compliance and privacy officer for HII. As executive vice president and chief legal officer, Boudreaux will report to HII President and CEO Mike Petters.

Arena Named VP at Shipbuilder

Huntington Ingalls Industries announced today that Jon Arena has been named vice president and chief counsel of HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding division. He will succeed Jim Gildea, who retired on April 1. Arena will be a key member of the law department’s leadership team, reporting directly to Kellye Walker, executive vice president and chief legal officer, and indirectly to Newport News Shipbuilding President Jennifer Boykin. In this role, he will be responsible for providing legal advice and counsel to senior management and overseeing and coordinating the provision of legal advice to Newport News. Arena comes to HII from Boeing, where he served as senior counsel, Boeing Global Services, since 2015. Prior to Boeing, he served as a senior attorney at NASA from 2002 to 2015.

SCF's New Icebreaker Named Fedor Ushakov

Russia’s PAO Sovcomflot (SCF Group) currently operates 10 vessels that serve the Sakhalin-2 project, including three oil tankers, two liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers and five icebreaking supply and standby vessels. Cohen Retires from ExxonMobil, McCarron to Takeover

Ken Cohen, vice president, Public and Government Affairs, Exxon Mobil Corporation, has announced his intention to retire effective Jan. 1, 2016, after more than 38 years of service. It is anticipated that the board of directors will elect Suzanne McCarron as vice president, Public and Government Affairs, Exxon Mobil Corporation. McCarron is currently general manager, Public and Government Affairs, and president, ExxonMobil Foundation, the primary philanthropic arm of the Exxon Mobil Corporation in the United States. The ExxonMobil Foundation is focused on creating economic opportunities for women, support for math and science education and efforts to combat malaria.

Huntington Ingalls Industries’ (HII) board of directors has elected Kellye Walker to serve as corporate vice president and general counsel and Charles R. “Chuck” Monroe Jr. to serve as corporate vice president, associate general counsel and secretary. HII Gains Award for Employee Military Service Support

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) informs that two members of its legal team received Patriot Awards from Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) for their support of employees who are active in the National Guard or National Reserve. Jim Gildea, vice president and chief counsel of the company's Newport News Shipbuilding division, and Charles Neff, HII's senior staff counsel, were nominated by Leila Garcia, a Newport News Shipbuilding paralegal who serves in the Virginia Air National Guard. Employees serving in the National Guard or Reserve can nominate their supervisors for the Patriot Award to recognize efforts that support employees' military service. Support can include flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, and granting leaves of absence if needed.

Alion Names Kevin Boyle General Counsel

Alion Science and Technology, a global engineering, technology and operational solutions company, announced that Kevin Boyle has joined the company as General Counsel. Mr. Boyle’s expertise includes government contracts law and litigation, M&A, equity and debt financing, SEC compliance and intellectual property. He will support Alion’s worldwide growth strategy as well as corporate governance and ethics initiatives. Mr. Boyle was formerly General Counsel for MCR, LLC, where he established the company’s first legal department and corporate governance functions and helped navigate the company through several important legal and regulatory challenges.

Northrop Grumman Names VP for NN Legal Affairs

Northrop Grumman Corporation announced the appointment of William Mitchell as vice president, assistant general counsel and sector counsel for Newport News operations, effective immediately. He reports to W. Burks Terry, corporate vice president and general counsel. Mitchell, most recently served as associate sector counsel for the company's electronic systems sector. Prior to this position, he served as the division counsel for the former Electronic Sensors and Systems division of Northrop Grumman. Before joining Northrop Grumman in 1996, Mitchell was the associate general counsel for Westinghouse's Electronic Systems Group. Previously, Mitchell held a number of positions in the law department of Westinghouse Electric Corporation.
