OSI Geospatial Signs Coast Guard Contract

OSI Geospatial Inc. announced that its U.S. Systems Operations has signed a contract valued at approximately U.S. $1m with the United States Coast Guard (USCG). Under the terms of the contract, the company will provide a hardware upgrade to the ECPINS Navigation Systems installed on the USCG Buoy Tender Fleet. The work is estimated to be completed in the next three months.

OSI Geospatial Increases Army Contract Increased

OSI Geospatial Inc. (TSX: OSI; OTCBB: OSIIF) announced that its U.S. Systems Operations has signed a contract that increases the scope of work for an existing U.S. Army program by approximately $1.2m. Under the terms of the contract, the company will enhance its command and control technology to meet U.S. Army operational requirements. The work will be performed over the next 8 to 12 months.

Coast Guard Chooses ECPINS

Offshore Systems Ltd. announced that its sister company, CHI Systems, the U.S. Systems Operations of OSI Geospatial has recently been awarded a contract to provide the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) with ECPINS navigation systems. The systems will be installed on nine ice breaking tugs (seven new installations and two upgrades to existing units) and one shore base facility. The ECPINS solution comprises of Offshore System’s industry leading software, including specific USCG functionality and hardware components specifically designed for the bridge environment of this vessel class. OSI currently has a U.S. Coast Guard installed base of 34 vessels and this contract will bring the total to 41 vessels.

OSI Geospatial to Provide Navigation Systems to Navy

OSI Geospatial Inc. (OSI) said its U.S. Systems Operations has signed a $500,000 contract to provide the U.S. Navy with military navigation systems. The systems will be installed on 12 new vessels that are being built to support homeland defense initiatives. The U.S. government and many other governments around the world are committing substantial resources towards coastal and harbor defense initiatives. There is an increasing demand for small vessels that can be deployed quickly to identify and respond to security threats. OSI's warship navigation technology and market leadership position provides the company with a clear advantage in pursuing this market.
