A 68-year-old man who reportedly suffered a seizure was medevaced from a cruise ship 180 miles off of Southwest Pass, La., Sunday, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard District 8 directed the launch of an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans and an HC-144 Ocean Sentry airplane crew from Coast Guard Air Station Corpus Christi after receiving a call requesting a medevac.

A video of the medevac is available here.

The helicopter crew lifted the man and a nurse and transported him to West Jefferson Medical Center in stable condition.
