New High-speed Vessel Joins the San Francisco Bay Ferry Fleet

The high-speed passenger vessel Delphinus was built by Mavrik Marine in La Conner, Wash. as the second of four new Dorado class ferries. Worker Dies Aboard Vessel at Aberdeen's South Harbor

A worker has died as a result of injuries suffered on board a vessel docked at Aberdeen's south harbor.The Port of Aberdeen and local authorities said the worker died on scene following an onboard incident at Dunnottar Quay on Saturday."Around 3:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2023, police were called to Dunnottar Quay, Aberdeen South Harbor, in Aberdeen after a report that a man had been seriously injured whilst working on a ship docked at the site," a Police Scotland spokesperson said. Nigeria Stowaways Who Survived 11 Days on Ship Rudder Must Return Home - Spanish Police

London Fire Brigade Adds Two New Fireboats

Passenger Vessels Collide Near Rotterdam's Erasmus Bridge

A sightseeing boat and a water taxi collided on Thursday near Rotterdam's iconic Erasmus Bridge, local emergency services said, and six people were "helped out of the water".Images of the incident on social media showed the collision between the two vessels, with the smaller water taxi being pushed under water of the Nieuwe Maas river.ANP news agency reported that the six rescued were all passengers and the captain of the water taxi, which it said later sank. A new high-speed passenger vessel entered service for the San Francisco Bay Area Water Emergency Transportation Authority (WETA) on Monday.The newbuild, Dorado, is the first in a series of four new ferries being built for WETA by Mavrik Marine in La Conner, Wash.
