ABS Promotes Mahaffey to VP of Marketing and Comms

Classification society ABS said it has appointed Jessica Mahaffey as Vice President, Marketing and Communications.Mahaffey joined ABS in 2019 as Senior Director of Corporate Affairs. Previously she was Vice President of External Affairs at Direct Energy, where she held several marketing, communications, and regulatory senior leadership positions. She graduated from Baylor University with a degree in journalism and public relations, and a secondary concentration in marketing and management.“Jessica is a strong leader for our marketing and communications team.

HII Promotes Boudreaux

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) announced Tuesday that Chad N. Boudreaux has been appointed executive vice president and chief legal officer, effective April 1, 2020. Current Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Kellye Walker recently announced her decision to pursue another opportunity, and she will depart HII on March 31.Boudreaux is currently the corporate vice president for litigation and chief compliance and privacy officer for HII. As executive vice president and chief legal officer, Boudreaux will report to HII President and CEO Mike Petters.

Christensen, Farren Join Port of Long Beach

The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners this week appointed port industry veterans Michael Christensen and Glenn Farren to newly created management positions to enhance cargo flow and service at the Port of Long Beach. Christensen, who most recently was Deputy Executive Director at the Port of Los Angeles, was appointed Port of Long Beach’s Senior Executive for Supply Chain Optimization, reporting directly to Chief Executive Jon Slangerup. Farren, who was General Manager for Hapag-Lloyd America, will be Long Beach’s Director of Tenant Services and Operations, a new position created to emphasize the importance of relations with Port tenants.

Boudreaux Named Chief Compliance Officer for HII

Boudreaux Corporate VP for Litigation, Huntington Ingalls

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (NYSE: HII) announced that Chad N. Boudreaux has joined the company as corporate vice president for litigation, investigations and compliance. He will report to Bruce N. Hawthorne, corporate vice president, general counsel and secretary, and to George M. Simmerman Jr., corporate vice president and deputy general counsel. Boudreaux comes to HII from Baker Botts LLP, where he established the law firm's Global Security and Corporate Risk Counseling practice group. Before joining Baker Botts, Boudreaux held various high-ranking positions in the U.S. government.

Halliburton Announces Management Changes

Before joining Willbros in 1983, Hamilton held positions in both the manufacturing and operating sectors of the pipeline industry. President Opposes USCG Funding

On August 13, the President hosted the President's Economic Forum at Baylor University in Waco, Texas which brought together government policy makers, small investors, small business owners, industry experts, teachers, workers, business ethicists, union members, corporate executives, economists, business students, academics, researchers and others to discuss the fundamentals of the economy and the President's agenda to increase economic growth for the future. The Forum featured breakout and discussion sessions on key economic issues. Each session involved approximately 30 participants with diverse points of view, panels and was chaired by a senior government official, and each panel included guest speakers with special expertise in the panel's subject matter.
