NAT Inks Time Charters for Two Suezmax Newbuilds

Tanker shipping company Nordic American Tankers (NAT) announced Wednesday it has lined up six-year time charters for a pair of Suezmax newbuilds scheduled to be delivered from South Korea later this year.The contracts for the 156,800 dwt tankers are with Oman-based ASYAD Shipping Company, and they will commence upon delivery from the shipyard in May and June.Herbjorn Hansson, NAT board chairman, president, CEO, said, “Our business is expanding in the Middle East, which is an important area for our operations.

ISS Expands in Southern China

Since the beginning of the year Inchcape Shipping Services has been attending vessels and providing professional boarding and agency services in the ports of Nansha and Huangpu in southern China. R&R Begins Building Modules for Harrah's

R&R Marine Fabrication and Drydock has begun construction of two specialty hull modules for Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. Arthur, Texas facility. renovation and expansion of its Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, IN. The keel for the first hull module was laid on August 8, 2006. completed, each module will measure 276 x 102 ft. and 22 ft. deep, weighing approximately 1,700 tons. The modules will be combined with four others being built elsewhere into a 564 foot long, 320 foot wide, and 22-ft. deep casino vessel.
