Rickmers-Linie Appoints Oceanway as Sales Agent

Rickmers-Linie, a heavylift and project cargo liner specialist has appointed Oceanway S.A. in Buenos Aires as its sales agent for Argentina with immediate effect. Oceanway will focus on sales of Rickmers-Linie’s services to and from Argentina, especially where Argentinian companies are involved. Swire Shipping, Rickmers-Linie Form Strategic Partnership

Connecting more than 12 ports, monthly multipurpose service with lifting capacity of up to 120 metric tons. Swire Shipping and Rickmers-Linie has announced the launch of a connecting carrier partnership. Under this partnership, Swire Shipping will be able to connect its breakbulk and project cargoes in India and the Middle East, through Rickmers-Linie’s Middle East and India Service, to its network in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, via Singapore. The first voyage is scheduled to depart Mumbai already on 9 June 2015, the first voyage from Jebel Ali being on 28 June 2015. The load ports are Jebel Ali, Mumbai, Chennai, Dammam, Kolkata (other ports on inducement).

Rickmers-Linie Appoints Interliner Agencies

Hamburg based Rickmers-Linie has appointed Interliner Agencies as its new agent in South Central Europe. The agency contract covers Slovenia, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Macedonia and Montenegro. On September 1, 2014, Interliner Agencies took over all sales and agency activities in the above mentioned countries for and on behalf of Rickmers-Linie. Rickmers-Linie to Deliver Airbus Fuselage

Rickmers-Linie, the Hamburg based operator of heavy lift and project liner services, has been selected by Spirit AeroSystems as its partner for the transportation of fuselage sections for Airbus from Morehead City, North Carolina (NC), to Montoir (Port of Nantes St. Nazaire) in Northern France. The contract covers the transportation of fuselage sections and will run over a period of several years. The fuselage sections are designed for the Airbus A350 XWB series. After a trial shipment was carried out successfully earlier this year, the contract was signed in a small ceremony on 14 July 2011 in Hamburg. “We are looking forward to this cooperation with Spirit,” said Gerhard Janssen, Director Marketing & Sales at Rickmers-Linie.

Rickmers-Linie Upgrades Indian Service with New Vessels

Rickmers-Linie, the German liner specialist for project cargoes and heavy lifts, is upgrading its Indian service with the addition of new vessels. It will also provide a direct service both eastbound and westbound between Europe and India although calls in Pakistan and the Middle East will be possible on an inducement basis. Rickmers Establishes Korea Subsidiary

Rickmers-Linie, the Hamburg-based specialist for breakbulk, heavylift and project cargo, is expanding its network of own subsidiaries in Asia and will establish a new subsidiary, Rickmers (Korea) Inc, in Seoul effective November 1, 2007. “With its export oriented industry and as a significant location for shipping and related industries, Korea is one of our key markets in the Far East. Thus it was a logical decision to establish our own office in Seoul. The new subsidiary will primarily take over the role of Rickmers-Linie’s agent in Korea and moreover will be the representative office for Rickmers Group in Korea,” explained Gerhard Janssen, General Manager Marketing & Sales at Rickmers-Linie.

Rickmers-Linie Names JHL as New General Agent

The German project liner and heavy-lift specialist, Rickmers-Linie, has appointed Japan Heavy Lift Inc. (JHL), a Sankyu Group company, as its new general agent for Japan, effective March 1. Rickmers-Linie serves Japan with its Round the World (RTW) service on a fortnightly basis. The "Superflex Heavy MPC" vessels have a service speed of 19.5 knots. They are equipped with four cranes, two of which have a maximum lifting capacity of 320 tons and can be combined to lift a maximum of 640 tons. The main hatches are 32m in length to allow long loads under deck and adjustable tweendecks can cope with varying cargo height. A dehumidifying system controls the air in all holds, ensuring protection from condensation for all types of sensitive cargo.
