David A. Tonnel has been named Senior Vice President, Finance and Controller, and Principal Accounting Officer, effective March 1, 2012. Mr. Tonnel currently serves as the Senior Vice President of the Europe and Africa Unit. Prior to assuming this role in June 2009, Mr. Tonnel served as Vice President of Global Supply Chain since November 2008. Previously, Mr. Tonnel served in management and financial positions including Vice President of Integration and Process Improvement since 2007, Vice President and Controller since 2005 and Assistant Controller the prior two years. Mr. Tonnel served as Finance Manager, Asia and Australia Region, from 2000 to 2003 and as Controller, Nigeria, from 1999 to 2000. Prior to joining the company in 1996, Mr.

Transocean Ltd. (NYSE: RIG) (SIX: RIGN) announced that the Board of Directors has named J. Michael Talbert as non-executive Vice Chairman of the Board, Arnaud A.Y. Bobillier as Executive Vice President, Asset and Performance, and Ihab Toma as Executive Vice President, Global Business, effective immediately. As non-executive Vice Chairman, Talbert is expected to succeed Robert E. Rose as Chairman of the Board of Directors when Rose retires at the end of his current director term at the company's 2011 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. Bobillier will be responsible for the company's Engineering and Technical Support; Asset Management, Performance, Global Supply Chain and IT functions.

Transocean Ltd. (NYSE:RIG) announced that Ricardo H. Rosa has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective September 1, 2009. Rosa will be based in Geneva and will report to Robert L. Long, Chief Executive Officer. Rosa will succeed Gregory L. Cauthen.
