Bluefin Acquires SeeByte

Bluefin Robotics, a provider of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), announced that it has acquired SeeByte, Ltd., a provider of autonomous platform software that enhances the user experience and the capabilities of underwater sensors, vehicles and systems. SeeByte, headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland, will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bluefin. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Royal New Zealand Navy Upgrades Software

SeeByte, the global leader in creating smart software for unmanned maritime systems, is pleased to announce that the Royal New Zealand Navy has chosen to purchase three upgraded seats of SeeTrack Military. The Royal New Zealand Navy, one of SeeByte’s longest-standing customers, first purchased three seats of SeeTrack Military in 2006. The software is now used globally by 16 of the world’s navies. SeeByte Announces Sale to the Royal Netherlands Navy

SeeByte, the global leader in creating smart software technology for unmanned systems, has announced that it will provide the Royal Netherlands Navy with twenty new licences of SeeTrack Military. This significant purchase has come after the Royal Netherlands Navy’s successful use of SeeTrack Military over the past six years. The licences will be deployed to the Diving and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group in Den Helder, the BE/NL Minewarfare school Eguermin in Ostend, Belgium and to researchers at the Netherland’s TNO.

SeeByte Provides SeeTrack Military Training to the Polish Navy

SeeByte, the global leader in creating smart software technology for unmanned systems, has successfully provided the Gdansk University of Technology (GUT) and the Polish Navy full training to accompany their recent purchase of SeeByte’s SeeTrack Military software. Having acquired SeeTrack Military earlier this year, SeeByte’s team trained two engineers from GUT and two members of Poland’s naval staff, including Lieutenant Adam Polak of the Polish Naval Academy, at SeeByte’s headquarters in Edinburgh.

BAE, Seebyte Sign Deal for Autonomous Maritime Ops

BAE Systems and SeeByte Ltd of Edinburgh, Scotland have signed a Cooperation Agreement to pursue business opportunities associated with the UK’s Mine Counter Measure (MCM), Hydrography and Patrol Capability (MHPC) Program. BAE Systems Mission Systems and SeeByte have identified a shared vision for the managed introduction of autonomous computing into future military mission systems through the exploitation of ‘open’ or modular, yet secure, architectures. Thus they intend to work together to develop fully integrated MCM mission systems offering innovative, flexible and adaptable solutions for the adoption of unmanned systems into future MCM operations. These will be designed to minimise human operator load whilst providing maximum operational support to the Command Team.

Since its founding in 2001, SeeByte has experienced rapid growth providing situation awareness software for people and machines in the Offshore and Defence industries.
