Skeena Queen Back in Service

The engine manufacturer, Mitsubishi, has made repairs to the BC Ferries' Skeena Queen's engines under warranty. One engine has been rebuilt to replace the main crankshaft and the main bearings have been replaced on the vessel's three other engines because of abnormal wear. The M.V. Skeena Queen was removed from service on October 1, 2001 for the repairs to be completed. The M. V. Bowen Queen has been providing replacement service on the route.
