Shipping Corp. of India Acquires New Vessel

According to a September 19 report from The Economic Times, the Shipping Corporation of India Ltd (SCI) said that it has accepted delivery of a Large Range-I (LR-I) Product Tanker, MT Swarna Brahmaputra. The vessel is the third of SCI's six LR-I size product tankers which are being constructed at STX Shipyard, one of the shipyards of repute in Korea. Orders for these vessels were placed in October 2006.
