Odyssey Marine Implements Management Changes

Neumann Named CEO and President of Starboard

Beth G. Neumann has joined Starboard Cruise Services as CEO and President, reporting to Starboard Chairman, Ed Brennan. Owned by renowned world leader in luxury, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, Starboard is the largest and leading onboard retailer in the cruise industry. In her leadership role, Neumann will oversee Starboard’s worldwide operations, which includes 1,800 employees, working both on land and on board the ships of the company’s eight partner cruise lines. Starboard’s sister company, Onboard Media, will also report to Neumann as part of her responsibilities.

SpecTec Group Secures Agreement With Saipem

SpecTec Italy, the Italian conglomerate of SpecTec Group, announced that Saipem, ENI'S offshore branch, will allow SpecTec to implement AMOS software onboard all Saipem offshore rigs, platforms, supply vessels and on-shore oil drilling sites. The contract follows the successful test of the integration of AMOS for Windows product with all modules of the SAP suite of software. The agreement, reached in co-operation with Andersen Consulting and Enidata, has a potential value of $1.1 million, of which $275,000 has already been allocated. After a thorough review of competing systems, Saipem chose AMOS. The first phase of the project will be completed by the end of the year, but installations on all of Saipem's mobile units and supply ships may take up to two years.

MMS Awards Contract For Royalty Reengineering

The U.S. Department of the Interior's Minerals Management Service awarded a $47 million, seven-year contract to Andersen Consulting to develop, install and operate an integrated financial system that will improve the Federal government's Royalty Management Program (RMP). With the signing of this contract, MMS fully enters the implementation phase of its reengineering initiative, which was spurred by aging computer systems, changing energy markets, and the need to place its business enterprise on business cycles and processes that better align with industry and financial institutions. The RMP, which is charged with collecting, accounting for and distributing billions of dollars in revenues associated with minerals activity on Federal and American Indian lands…
