Fugro Signs Contract for New Vessels

Fugro has signed a contract with BMV (Bergen Yards) in Norway for building two new vessels. The contract consists of building one seismic vessel and one ROV offshore construction support vessel with a combined value of around $220.1m. The first ship is a seismic vessel and the vessel will be outfitted at BMV (Bergen Yards) in Bergen, Norway. The vessel will have a length of 108 m and a maximum breadth of 28 m and will be equipped with 16 tow points and the latest and most advanced seismic technology. The vessel will be delivered to Fugro in August 2010 and will operate world wide. The second vessel is a DP II ROV/offshore construction support vessel. This vessel will also be outfitted at BMV (Bergen Yards) and will have a length of 111 m and a breadth of 24 m.

StatoilHydro Secures Six Seismic Vessels

StatoilHydro has signed a letter of intent for six seismic acquisition vessels which will gather data on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS). Secured seismic capacity includes three petroleum geo-service (PGS) vessels - Ramform Challenger, Ramform Sovereign and Atlantic Explorer, as well as Fugro Geoteam's Geo Celtic, Wavefield Inseis's Geowave Commander and Western Geco's Geco Triton.

ODIM Signs Contract for Seismic

ODIM has signed a contract with the seismic company Fugro Geoteam on delivery of the remaining parts of a complete handlings system for the 3D seismic new building Geo Celtic. In addition to this contract, ODIM received on January 26 the first part of the complete handling system for this vessel. ODIM has over the last years built up a key expertise on electric drive systems for handlings systems to be used aboard 3D seismic vessels. Fugro Geoteam will be the first seismic company to outfit a vessel with an all-electric automated handling system.
