Tidewater Elects Larry Rigdon as Chairman

Tidewater, which owns and operates the largest fleet of offshore support vessels in the industry, announced that Larry T. Rigdon has been elected Chairman of the Board effective October 28th.Rigdon replaces Dr. Thomas R. Bates, Jr., who has recently resigned from the board, said a press note.Rigdon has been a member of the Tidewater Board of Directors since August 2017. He has extensive prior experience as an executive at Tidewater. Rigdon served as Interim Chief Executive Officer of Tidewater for the five-month period ended March 2018 and had previously joined the Company in 1992 upon the merger with Zapata Gulf Marine Corporation.After successive roles of increasing responsibility, he left the company as Executive Vice President in 2002.

Schlumberger Mulls Sale of Oilfield Tools Rental Unit

Schlumberger Ltd, the world's largest oilfield services company, is exploring the sale of its oilfield tools rental unit Thomas Tools, which could be valued at more than $600 million, according to people familiar with the matter. An auction is already underway for Thomas Tools, which has annual earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization of around $80 million, the people said this week. Private equity firms keen to buy the unloved divisions of big conglomerates are among those that have shown interest in Thomas Tools, the people said. Boutique investment firm PPHB is advising Schlumberger on the sale process, one of the people added. The sources asked not to be identified because the process is confidential.

Gulfstream Services: Billy Marcel Promoted

Gulfstream Services, Inc. (GSI) names Billy Marcel as Manager of Global Operations – Decommissioning Services Division. US-based Gulfstream Services, Inc. is a global corporation focused on developing high pressure equipment solutions for the international oil and gas industry. GE Oil & Gas $120M Subsea Service Contract

Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras), a world leader in deep-water and ultra-deep water oil production, has awarded GE Oil & Gas a four-year service agreement to deliver repairs, maintenance and retrofits on Petrobras’ fleet of subsea equipment installed in the Campos Basin offshore Brazil. The scope of the agreement, valued at approximately $120M, includes service and repairs on over 300 exploration and 250 production tools, as well as retrofitting six subsea production trees each year with GE advanced technology. GE will conduct the service program from its Macaé Service Center, located in Rio de Janeiro state, which is currently undergoing a $30M investment refurbishment and expansion. The 91,000 sq.

Austin, Senior VP and CEO, Joins Alvarez & Marsal

Key Energy Services, Inc. (NYSE:KEG) announced on Jan. 26 that William M. Austin, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer has decided to join the turnaround and restructuring group at Alvarez & Marsal. He will leave Key on February 6, 2009. Marshall Dodson, who is the Company's Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, will assume the additional role of the Company's principal financial officer until the Board elects a new Chief Financial Officer. During this interim period, Mr. Dodson will report directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer, Dick Alario.
