Inmarsat Global Xpress Targets Superyacht Market

As part of CG Telemar SPA, Telemar Yachting, www.telemar-yachting.com, the Viareggio-based integrated marine electronics specialists, is to promote Inmarsat Global Xpress service to the superyacht market.  Telemar Yachting provides navigation, communications systems, service and airtime solutions to the world's superyacht industry the world's superyacht industry and at next week's Monaco Yacht Show (19 to 22 September - stand QS-58) will be talking to the superyacht community about the unprecedented data speeds and global coverage provided by Global Xpress when the Inmarsat service becomes commercially available in 2014.
At the beginning of September 2012 CG Telemar SPA was announced by Inmarsat at the German maritime trade show, SMM, as one of the first Value Added Resellers of Global Xpress.
The Global Xpress maritime solution will combine the new super-fast Ka-band satellite network with the existing FleetBroadband service for the utmost reliability, all backed by Inmarsat quality standards, performance and global reach.
Commenting on the appointment, Andy Gifford, Telemar Yachting's General Manager, said, "Global Xpress promises to be a high capacity, extremely reliable solution in an easy to understand package that is straightforward to install and maintain, and also fits directly into our airtime providing solutions through the Telemar Yachting Service Box."
