T&T Marine Provides Gulf Cleanup Response

T&T Marine Salvage, a leading provider of maritime support services, has responded with manpower and equipment to help clean the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. “Our crews have been working 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist in the Gulf of Mexico cleanup effort,” said T&T Marine Salvage Vice President Kevin Teichman. “We have flown in personnel and equipment from our response bases around the world for this ongoing project. T&T Marine Response Service Agreement

T&T Marine Salvage, a provider of maritime support services, announced an exclusive cooperative services agreement with OSROCO and Unitek to provide oil spill response services in Guam, Saipan and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. “With equipment staged in Guam and Saipan, the T&T Marine-OSROCO-Unitek alliance offers customers calling on Sector Guam an unparalleled and cost-effective solution to meeting the requirements of OPA 90,” said T&T Marine Vice President Kevin Teichman. OSROCO is a subsidiary of Cabras Marine Corporation, a Guam-based company that provides tug boats, barges and other maritime assets in Guam, the CNMI and throughout Micronesia.

T&T Marine Salvage Surveys Sunken Vessel

T&T Marine Salvage conducted survey operations of a sunken passenger vessel in 220 ft of water near Limbones Island. T&T Marine Salvage mobilized an ROV operator and compact ROV System that surveyed the sunken vessel and located key entry points, assisting in the recovery of victims. The operation was a joint effort with the Philippine Coast Guard and Malayan Towage and Salvage Corporation. “Due to the depth of the wreck at 220 ft below sea level, there were limited resources available to inspect the vessel,” said T&T Marine Vice President Kevin Teichman.

T&T Marine Salvage Responds to Oil Spill

T&T Marine Salvage helped clean up an oil spill after a collision between an oil tanker and a barge spilled 450,000 gallons of crude oil into the Sabine-Neches Waterway. T&T Marine Salvage responded to the oil spill by mobilizing 50 personnel. 20,000 ft of spill boom, a 1,500-bbl skimming vessel, response vessels, portable skimmers, eight portable fire pumps and other equipment. “T&T Marine cleanup operations were performed around the clock,” said Vice President Kevin Teichman.
