Glamox to Light Up PGS’ Seismic Vessels

New Head for Glamox’s Marine, Offshore, and Wind (MOW) Division

Lighting solutions specialist Glamox said Wednesday that Tommy Stranden would replace Håkon Helmersen as Chief Sales & Commercial Officer for Glamox’s Marine, Offshore, and Wind (MOW) division.Stranden (46) is the general manager for MOW’s Northern Europe business. He joined Glamox from NOV in January 2018 and has led MOW’s Northern European business with international responsibilities for Scandinavia, the UK, the Middle East, India, Africa, Australia, and South America. He will report to Astrid Simonsen Joos, Group CEO of Glamox, and join the Glamox Group Leadership Team.

Portugal and Norway Team Up on Floating Offshore Wind

The Portuguese cluster Forum Oceano and Norwegian Offshore Wind have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration between the supply chains in the two countries.The MoU aims to lay the ground work for new contracts between companies from the two countries.The agreement was signed at a reception this week, during a visit to Portugal organized by Norwegian Offshore Wind and The Norwegian Embassy in Portugal.Forum Oceano and Norwegian Offshore Wind both focus on developing a strong supply chain in floating offshore wind.

Lighting solutions specialist Glamox has won a contract from the Chinese shipbuilder Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore Limited to light Havfram Wind’s two new Wind Turbine Installation Vessels (WTIV). These new vessels will be capable of installing the next generation of giant wind turbines with rotor blades of more than 300 meters in diameter. OSM Thome and PGS Collaborate on Ammonia-Fuelled Vessels

Norwegian companies OSM Thome and Pherousa Green Shipping (PGS) have entered into a Letter of Intent outlining their collaboration on six 63,000dwt Ultramax bulk carriers to be ordered by PGS.The collaboration involves Phases I, II, and III, encompassing Drawing Approval, Project Development, and Site Supervision. Furthermore, OSM Thome will manage the crew and technical management of the constructed vessels.PGS, established in 2023, is in the process of initiating the order for these zero-emission vessels, designed by Deltamarin in Finland.

PGS Wins 4D Seismic Survey Gig in North Sea

Norwegian marine seismic data acquisition firm PGS has won a 4D survey contract in the North Sea.The company said Wednesday that a Ramform Titan-class vessel was scheduled to start the acquisition in early August of 2022 and complete it in mid-September.President & CEO in PGS, Rune Olav Pedersen said: "We are very pleased to be awarded this 4D contract in the North Sea. PGS Kicks Off 3D Seismic Survey Off Angola

Norwegian marine seismic data firm PGS, in partnership with Angola's ANPG, has started a new MultiClient 3D survey in the Lower Congo Basin, near the river plume of the Congo in Angola Block 1/14. The acquisition phase will continue until April and fast-track data is expected in October 2021, the company said Monday. Andreas Enger will replace Thor Jørgen Guttormsen as CEO of Höegh Autoliners effective September 8, 2020.Enger has served as an advisor to Höegh Autoliners for more than a year and became CFO in September 2019.Prior to joining Höegh Autoliners, he was a partner at Deloitte, leading its Nordic strategy practice.
