As Traders Tussle Turkmenistan Cuts Exports

A clash between trading house Vitol and Azerbaijan's SOCAR over Caspian Sea oil shipments is forcing Turkmenistan to slash exports of crude due to a lack of tankers.Turkmenistan typically exports about 200,000 tonnes of oil per month via the Caspian to world markets, mainly from fields operated by the UAE's ENOC and Italy's Eni, but flows have halved in recent weeks, six traders involved in operations said.That happened after Turkmen producers decided to export oil via Russia with the help of Swiss trader Vitol and ditch the previous Azeri route…

First Offshore Reference for ACO's New Clarimar MF

ACO Marine announced it has signed a contract to supply a bespoke version of its new Clarimar MF wastewater treatment plant to the CFT 623 wellhead platform under construction for Dubai’s Dragon Oil. The specially adapted Clarimar MF-2 has capacity to treat 3.5 cubic meters of black and grey wastewater per day and features a sludge tank for liquid discharges from drilling operations. “The offshore oil and gas sector is an important market for ACO Marine,” said ACO Marine’s managing director Mark Beavis.

Topaz Breakthrough in Turkmenistan

Topaz Energy and Marine, through its subsidiary BUE Turkmenistan, announced the award of a $14m contract with MMHE (Malaysian Marine Heavy Engineering). MMHE is operating a JV between Technip and Petronas in the construction and development of the hook up and commissioning of the Magtymguly Collector Riser (MCR-A) offshore Turkmenistan. The scope of work under the contract will include transportation to support the installation of the topside and pipe lay support from MCR-A to the onshore gas terminal.
