Chinese cadet training ship 'Zheng He' transits Suez Canal after escort through pirate-prone Gulf of Aden
The "Zheng He" the Chinese ocean-going training ship, now engaged in the task of the "Harmonious Mission – a voyage around the world, slowly sailed into the Suez Canal under the guidance of a pilot on the Egyptian side a few days ago.
Earlier, the guided missile frigate "Yantai" of the 11th escort taskforce under the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), which was conducting the escort mission in the waters off the Somali coast and the Gulf of Aden，successfully met the "Zheng He" on its "Harmonious Mission" global voyage and they went through the waters of the Gulf of Aden together without any disturbance by pirates.
