CEVA Opens 4th Chicago Office

CEVA Logistics, one of the world's leading supply chain management companies, has expanded its market presence in Chicago with the opening of a fourth facility. The company's Chicago operations near O'Hare International Airport (ORD) now encompass four facilities totaling over 650,000 sq. ft. (60,387 sq m) and 115 total dock doors. The new, 208,406 sq. ft., multi-use logistics facility features state-of-the-art security including a 128-camera CCTV system, gate and access control, and security on duty inside the building on a 24x7 basis. Fidelis Group Launches Ocean Cargo Division

Fidelis Group Holdings, LLC (FGH) with its subsidiary company Continental Underwriters, Ltd. announced  the formation of its new ocean cargo division. Doug Fischer and Crystal Prout were named Managing Directors of the division, utilizing the Company's existing national platform. The new Ocean Cargo division will be based out of FGH's Chicago office. H. Tugboat Captain Sentenced

The U.S. Attorney's Office said that Gary O. Burnham, of Michigan City, Ind., was sentenced to serve 30 months in prison for operating as a ship's captain on a forged license, neglect of duty by a seaman resulting in the sinking of the M/V Margaret Ann, and negligently causing a diesel fuel spill in Lake Michigan. He was also ordered to pay $750,000 in restitution to Holly Marine Towing, the owner of the vessel that sank in Lake Michigan under Burnham's command. The sinking of the Margaret Ann caused a 250 gallon diesel spill in navigable waters.
