Vizada Inmarsat, Distribution Agreement

Vizada, a satellite communications provider, and Inmarsat, a provider of global mobile satellite communications services, have concluded final negotiation for Vizada’s distribution of Inmarsat services over the next five years. These include “existing & evolved services” (Fleet, GAN, Swift, etc.), new generation IP-based broadband services including BGAN, FleetBroadband and SwiftBroadband, as well as leased services. The new agreement ensures a continuation of the long-standing relationship that Vizada and Inmarsat have shared as partners for over three decades. In 2008 Vizada’s Inmarsat mobile satellite activities represented close to 40% of Inmarsat wholesale revenues.

Telenor Finalizes Comsat Acquisition

Telenor has completed the acquisition of COMSAT Mobile Communications operations . Simultaneously to the acquisition, Telenor gathers all its mobile satellite activities under the new business area name Telenor Satellite Services, and becomes one of the world's largest global mobile satellite operators. COMSAT Mobile now becomes the U.S. Inc. COMSAT Mobile, has annual revenues in excess of $100 million. transaction transfers CMC's operations, including all employees as well as the two earth station facilities in Southbury, Connecticut, and Santa Paula, California, to Telenor. Additionally, in September 2000 Telenor purchased a portion of LMT's Inmarsat shares to become the largest single owner of Inmarsat Ventures plc, holding the maximum permitted stake of 15 percent.

Due Diligence Completed for the integration of Thrane & Thrane and Nera

Due diligence completed for the integration of Thrane & Thrane A/S and Nera ASA satellite activities and revised forecast for the current financial yearOn Monday, August 20, 2001 Thrane & Thrane A/S announced that it had signed an agreement with Nera ASA to acquire the shares in Nera’s wholly-owned subsidiaries Nera SatCom AS and Nera WBA Satellite AS. Since that announcement, Thrane & Thrane and Nera have worked on completing the integration of the two companies’ satellite activities. The companies’ efforts focused on conducting the due diligence process, which has now been completed to the satisfaction of both parties.After completing the due diligence process, the parties have agreed to change the contents of the agreement, and Thrane & Thrane and Nera therefore signed an agreement.
