Tidewater Names CFO, COO

U.S. offshore support vessel company Tidewater has announced the promotion of two key members of the company’s executive team, Sam R. Rubio and David E. Darling, to the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, respectively.Rubio has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, following his accomplishments serving as the Company’s Chief Accounting Officer and Controller since joining Tidewater following the combination with GulfMark Offshore, Inc. in 2018. Prior to joining Tidewater he served as GulfMark’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, after holding the position of Chief Accounting Officer for over 10 years.

Rubio Named CFO of GulfMark Offshore

GulfMark Offshore announced that Samuel "Sam" R. Rubio will be promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer upon completion of the filing of the company’s Form 10-K. Rubio will replace James "Jay" M. Mitchell, who will transition his responsibilities to Rubio over the next several weeks. Rubio joined GulfMark in 2005 and became Vice President – Controller and Chief Accounting Officer in 2008 and was promoted to Senior Vice President – Controller and Chief Accounting Officer in 2012. Rubio has over 35 years of experience in accounting at both operating division and corporate levels as well as the management of accounting organizations.

Wachel Joins Parsons Brinckerhoff

William Wachel has been named a Senior Supervising Engineer, Ports and Marine, in the Houston office of Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global infrastructure strategic consulting, engineering, and program/construction management organization. In his new position, Wachel will manage ports and marine projects throughout Texas and the Southeastern United States. Wachel comes to Parsons Brinckerhoff following 25 years with the Port of Houston Authority. He most recently served as Managing Director in the agency’s engineering department…

W&T Offshore Announces Appointments

W&T Offshore, Inc. announced the appointment of Karen S. Acree as Vice President and Controller. John D. Gibbons, the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has assumed the additional position of Chief Accounting Officer. William W. Talafuse, formerly Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, has accepted other duties with the Company. Acree has 25 years of public company accounting and financial reporting experience, including most recently as Vice President and Controller of Bois d'Arc Energy, Inc. an NYSE-traded company. Prior to joining Bois d'Arc, Ms. Acree was with Global Santa Fe Corporation, beginning her career there in 1982, holding the position of Assistant Controller at the time she left the company in March 2006. She earned a B.B.A.
