Woodbury Joins MTN
Maritime Telecommunications Network (MTN), of Miramar, Florida, the leading provider of satellite-based communications, networking and other services to the cruise and offshore oil and gas industries, today announced that John S. Woodbury has joined the company as Director of Government Systems, a new position. He will report to Bradford Briggs, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Woodbury has sixteen years of experience in commercial telecommunications. After thirty years in Navy communications, he began his civilian career in 1987 with GTE Government Systems. MTN Collaborates with Xantic
Maritime Telecommunications Network (MTN), of Miramar, Fla., has signed a cooperative agreement with Xantic. Under the agreement, financial terms of which were not disclosed, Xantic will market and distribute MTN’s VSAT services to the global maritime markets. It will also provide teleport services to MTN at Burum (Netherlands) to add to MTN's existing teleport infrastructure and to add C- and Ku-Band services in the North Sea, Mediterranean and Indian Ocean regions. “This agreement offers MTN the ability to expand our global product and services using Xantic’s excellent facilities at Burum while expanding our sales and distribution capabilities through Xantic’s network of 35 offices worldwide,” said Bradford Briggs, Senior Vice President of MTN.
