CMA CGM Takes Action for Japan

Following the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan, CMA CGM has taken action to support its teams on site and help in the delivery of emergency assistance.
CMA CGM Group has set up an Emergency and Communication Response Team that is closely monitoring the situation, keeps in close contact with the Group’s teams in Japan and ensures business continuity. All employees of CMA CGM offices on site are safe and none of the Group’s ships were impacted.
In addition, the Group - which has always provided support during humanitarian emergency situations - has proposed to make available a number of containers to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Médecins Sans Frontières (French Humanitarian Organization) and the World Food Program (WFP) of the United Nations, for the delivery of humanitarian aid to Japan.

CMA CGM, which has been present in Japan for many years, said it will remain mobilized as long as necessary to bring aid to the Japanese population and ensure the continuity of its operations and services for its customers.
