MARAD Issues Advisory on Naval Exercise off Korea

The U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) issued an Advisory to all operators of U.S. flag, effective U.S. controlled vessels, and other maritime interests stating that the U.S. Navy and forces of the Republic of Korea will be conducting a naval exercise in waters off the coast of Korea during the final two weeks of March 2003. Vessels transiting these waters during the period 19-26 March are requested to call +82-540-5447 to report their transit times at least 72 hours prior to entry into these waters. Mariners should exercise caution in these waters during the exercise period.
