Agent-Operator Collaboration Brought into Veslink

April 3, 2014

Veson Nautical announced the release of the Veslink Agent Portal, a new feature of Veslink, Veson Nautical’s online service that streamlines the collection and distribution of mission-critical maritime data. The Veslink Agent Portal enables port agents to submit Statements of Facts and Port Disbursements against nominated port calls. These standardized forms flow directly into Veslink for approval by voyage operators, and can then be imported into the Integrated Maritime Operations System (IMOS) to drive further workflows.

“Many of the leading maritime shipping organizations already rely on Veslink to improve the timeliness and accuracy of their voyage reporting, and to streamline their operational workflow,” said Per Ostman, Veslink Product Manager. “With the release of Agent Portal we’ve added agents to the Veslink Network. We are continuously expanding the options for charterers, ship owners, and ship managers to streamline their data collection.”

According to Veson Nautical, the Veslink Agent Portal makes it easy for agents to submit crucial in-port data in an accurate, structured format. Upon nomination, the given port call appears in the agent’s unique Agent Portal worklist on Veslink.com. From there, the agent has the ability to submit any number of standard Veslink forms as defined by shipping company, including Statements of Facts and Port Disbursements.
