ACMA Announces New Vice President

Alan C. McClure Associates, Inc. (ACMA) announced that Darrel J. Harvey has been appointed to the position of Vice President. According to Scott McClure, ACMA President, “Since joining McClure in December of 2000, Darrel has brought to the McClure team both his outstanding in-house project management support, as well as his field engineering and construction management expertise. He’s also been an integral part of our sales and marketing efforts. In his new position as Vice President, he will continue to spearhead our marketing program and will assist in day-to-day management on all of the company’s engineering projects.” Harvey, a graduate of the University of Michigan in 1979 with a B.S. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, is a 23-year veteran of the naval architecture and engineering industry. His career highlights include operating his own company, Harvey Marine Services, and his service as Chief Naval Architect and Marine Engineer with Zapata Gulf Marine Corp., where he gained extensive workboat and barge operations experience. During his extensive career, he has acted as Project Manager for the development of a 30-knot aluminum SWATH crewboat currently working in Brazil and he has served as an Operations Manager responsible for the operation of five tugs and barges in Tampico, Tamps. Mexico. He has also managed the activities of engineers, designers and technical support staff who provided core activities for Caterpillar’s largest marine engine distributor worldwide.
