BAE Wins $10.5M Antenna Deal

BAE Systems, Nashua, N.H., is being awarded a $10,464,372
firm-fixed-price contract
for the procurement of 10 OE-120 antenna groups for the U.S. Navy (6)
and for the
governments of Korea (3) and Japan (1). The OE-120 antenna group is one
of two
major subsystems that provide a centralized identification system for
fleet tactical
ships, including DDG-51, CVN and foreign military sales (FMS) class
ships. This
contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy ($6,269,016; 60%) and the
governments
of Korea ($3,146,517; 30%) and Japan ($1,048,839; 10%) under the FMS
Program. Work
will be performed in Nashua, N.H., and is expected to be completed in
December
2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. This
contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command,
Patuxent
River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-03-C-0050).
