Pearl Crossing LNG Terminal – License Application

The U.S. Coast Guard and the Maritime Administration (MARAD) issued a Notice stating that they have received an application for licensing of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) deepwater port terminal from Pearl Crossing LNG Terminal LLC. The proposal calls for construction and operation of a LNG deepwater port in the Gulf of Mexico approximately 41 miles off the coast of Louisiana. Any public hearing must be held not later than March 18, 2005 and a decision on the application must be made within 90 days of the last public meeting. 69 Fed. Reg. 43618
