Michel Sirat Appointed CFO of CMA CGM Group

CMA CGM Group has appointed Michel Sirat to the position of Group Chief Financial Officer. With degrees from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques of Paris, the Ecole Centrale of Paris and the Ecole Nationale d’Administration, Sirat began his career at the French Treasury Department, followed by a posting at the International Monetary Fund, in Washington D.C. After eleven years at the French Ministry of Finance, Sirat joined the Suez Group where he became Group Senior Vice President Finance, Tax, Treasury, Senior Executive Vice President of Suez Energy NA (Houston, Texas); CEO of Suez Energy NA (3rd in the USA in B to B electricity selling); and then Senior Executive Director for the “Trading & Portfolio Management” division of GDF Suez in Brussels, in charge of managing commodity risk and enhancing asset value. Sirat entered his functions on June 7 and reports directly to M. Rodolphe Saade, Executive Officer of CMA CGM Group.
