Wärtsilä Aquires Caltax

Wärtsilä has acquired Dutch marine service company Caltax Marine Diesel BV, a subsidiary of the Traas van Houte Beheer BV. The
acquisition also consists of a workshop. The company has annual net
sales of $12.8 million and 90 employees. It specializes in the
service and reconditioning of two-stroke marine engine components.
The acquisition of Caltax increases
Wärtsilä's growth potential in Northern Europe in this sector. The acquisition forms part of Wärtsilä's strategy to offer total service
to its marine customers. Caltax will become part of the Ciserv group
and will be named Ciserv Netherlands BV.
