Ship Architects' Comer Stepping Down

Ship Architects, Inc. (SAi) has announced its current Principal Naval Architect, Joseph H. Comer is stepping down and turning over the leadership position to Altug Basaran, P.E., its current Director of Operations.

Ship Architects has been in business since 1999, providing a broad range of engineering and production support services to commercial shipyards and vessel operators.

The company will continue to focus on providing customer value on every project through high quality products and distinctive service. The SAi team recognizes that understanding the customers’ business needs, and providing solutions, is the responsibility of every member. Since their acquisition in 2006, Comer and Basaran have built the company to what it is today. Comer will continue with Ship Architects to help in this transition and future business development.
