Attestation / Endorsement services for seaman in UAE

The Maritime Administration of the United Arab Emirates has introduced services for the attestation of seaman contract and issuance of oil/chemical/gas tanker endorsement.

ATTESTATION OF SEAMAN CONTRACT:
This service is applicable for Crew working on UAE Flagged vessels that are engaged in International voyages are required to have their Seaman Contract attested by the  Administration. The service will be provided alongwith the issuance of Seaman Cards. This is applicable for both New and renewal of Seaman Cards.

Fees charged will be AED 300/- per Seaman Contract.

ISSUANCE OF OIL / CHEMICAL / GAS TANKER ENDORSEMENT:
Crew working on UAE Flagged vessels (Oil / Chemical / Gas Tanker) are required to obtain Tanker Endorsement Certificate from the Administration.
Fees charged will be AED 350/- per endorsement.

Documents required are as follows:
a) Copy of the Seaman Contract
b) Copy of Oil / Chemical / Gas Tanker Familiarization Course / endorsement
certificate.
c) Copy of the Passport

Currently, the above services will be provided directly from NTA Service Centres. In due course, the clients will have the service through online Marine Licensing System.

The above services are mandatory requirements and come into force with immediate effect.
