Climax Opens New Rental Depots in Australia, U.S.

February 18, 2011

To support increased demand worldwide for on-site portable machining tools, Climax Portable Machine Tools has opened new rental depots in Houston, Texas; Prairieville, Louisiana; and Cincinnati, Ohio; as well as a new international location in Perth, Western Australia. The four new machine tool rental facilities expand the company’s  reach with eleven rental depots worldwide, and allow Climax to provide nearer accessibility of its tools to customers within the power generation, shipbuilding, heavy construction and mining, and service and engineering industries. Renting is often a fast, cost-effective way to obtain needed machine tools for unexpected repairs – or to take advantage of new business opportunities - without making unnecessary capital expenditures.  Recently, the severity of the worldwide recession has forced many companies to sell off or age their equipment, making rental equipment an attractive option when new projects require different or more advanced equipment than what the company already owns.

“By renting portable machine tools, companies can try the latest, safest, and most technologically advanced equipment in the marketplace, paying only when they use the equipment,” said Dave Baker, Director of Worldwide Rentals at Climax Portable Machine Tools. “In most cases, we can ship rental machines to customers within 24 hours from our rental depots, so that customers can be up and running with their job.” Climax’s experienced and knowledgeable rental team assists customers in assessing repair challenges and choosing the exact portable machine tools and accessories to suit the job. Among the many machines available at the depots includes the new Climax portable flange facer with milling and grinding head option, as well as a complete line of boring machines, flange facers, milling machines, key mills, lathes, lapping and grinding machines, as well as quality accessories like tool holders, taps and drills.
