GAC Awarded Customs Broker's License

June 24, 2013

GAC, a global provider of integrated shipping, logistics and marine services, said it continues to strengthen its presence and services in the U.S. by obtaining a Customs Broker's License with a National Permit 13-047.

This follows the Group’s recent C-TPAT certification, granted only to companies that meet the strict criteria set by U.S. Customs & Border Protection and U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

As a licensed customs broker, GAC will continue to provide its supply chain and oil and gas customers with a complete suite of services enhanced by greater efficiency, and quicker turnaround times. Customers will also enjoy the benefits of GAC having complete internal control of the process from start to finish. In addition, the National designation allows GAC to clear its customer's cargo in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

The Customs Broker's License has been issued to the newly formed company, GAC Brokerage, LLC, and will be managed by Luisa Holloway, VP of Brokerage & Import Manager. Ms. Holloway joined GAC a year ago and has over 20 years' experience in imports, customs regulations and dealing with various security clearance challenges.
